Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Sunday, October 9, just days after her 45th birthday, Michon Haymer suffered a severe stroke, a  venous thrombosis.  In what seemed like a split second, she went from a mom getting ready for a Sunday shopping outing to a passenger in a rescue squad. She was taken to Hillcrest Hospital where she had another seizure and lost use of her left arm and leg. Michon was taken by life flight to Cleveland Clinic Neurology Intensive Care that evening.  On Monday, she had surgery to address a significant blood clot in the brain. During post surgical care it was discovered that Michon has breast cancer. The oncology team has begun a treatment plan.
Michon continues to recover in the Neuro ICU as they focus on stabilizing her condition and assessing the effects of the stroke. We are very optimistic for Michon’s recovery, but understand that she has a long road ahead.
Michon is the epitome of positivity, she is the cheering section for everyone's accomplishments and the true believer in encouraging any underdog to succeed. Michon looks for the good in everyone, she takes kindness to epic levels, lifts our spirits and shines brightest when bringing out the best in others. She is famous for her baking and true hospitality, the ability to make everyone feel welcome. Michon has an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills her with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern.
Michon is happiest surrounded by her family, she adores her husband Scott and children Scott and Devon. (AND her dogs, Oscar and Rudy)
