On November 9th, I was diagnosed with Myxofibrosarcoma.  It is a soft-tissue cancer that develops in your connective tissue.  My tumor developed in my right thigh.  Steve and I were taken back as we already faced and beat cancer once, why was I facing now a NEW cancer!!!  But as everyone knows, I will fight and beat this one as well.  Steve, being the wonderful husband he is, jumped into action and when we were not getting the appointments we needed here in south Florida, he got me a appointment at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.  And our journey to beat cancer again began.    My treatment plan includes 3 rounds of Chemo (9 weeks total), 5 weeks of radiation, then 3-6 weeks after completing radiation - surgery to remove the tumor.  I check into Broward General Hospital tomorrow, December 16th,  to start my first round of Chemo.  Will be in-patient for 5 days. (I am blessed to have my daughter work not only at the hospital, but on the floor where I will be).
