Welcome to my CaringBridge page. I have decided to do a CaringBridge page so all my loved ones can follow my journey of kicking Breast Cancer's ass. While I would love to contact you all individually, lets be real, there will be days I don't even feel like picking my phone or laptop up to say hi. I thankfully have caught my cancer early enough however, it is a very aggressive form so will be doing 6 months of Chemo before I have surgery. I will be getting a genetic test done so when it does come to surgery I can make the best decision for me. Depending on my surgery it will determine if I do radiation and chemo or just chemo after surgery. I am at this point so very overwhelmed. I will be getting a port implanted on Tuesday and my 1st Chemo treatment will be Friday July 31, 2020,
I am thankful for all the support and love everyone is giving. While there is never a good time for cancer, it is very hard right now with COVID. This makes having visitors hard and while I know I am not alone, there are times when I feel alone. I am guaranteed one visitor for my first chemo treatment but I may not be able to have visitors after that. I was tested today for COVID. I am currently isolating myself especially for this next coming week. If we are near each other I do ask that you wear a mask (I will also be wearing a mask). I do not want to do anything that pose a delay in my treatment as my immunity will be compromised. I have been blessed with donations of masks (although I would always love more). I am putting requests out as I will be looking for light weight hats and winter hats (something about losing my hair).
Just so you know if I am unable to update, I will have someone update for me. If you want to send words of encouragement, I would love it. Anything positive goes a long way.
