Welcome to our CaringBridge. Thank you for visiting.
Michelle’s Story

Well, it started with my annual visit to Oncology for my check up. I’d finally gotten to once a year! She said it was time for my CT. I was able to get one once a year. It showed something odd on the lungs so the lung dr. Ordered a bronchoscopy. Those are never fun! LOL It was a strange shape and the dr thought it might be some sort of mucus or bacteria. EVERY test they did came back negative! So...repeat in three months. During that time it had doubled in size as a PET dan and biopsy was ordered. The biopsy confirmed stage 4 cancer and PET scan showed it had spread to my abdomen, both adrenal glands, kidney and I think nodes. Anyway it’s very aggressive and very fast spreading.  Terminal.
So tomorrow I start 4 rounds of Chemotherapy. Three days in a row and two weeks off, 4 times.  Treatment can extend  my life 1-2 years...I’m hoping for 5!  Stay tuned for updates as possible. I plan to take a positive picture tomorrow I can post too.
Love you all...please keep the prayers going!
