A few months ago I felt a lump in my left breast and figured, since I was breast-feeding, it was probably a clogged duct. Well, it didn't go away and started hurting and was it my imagination or was it getting bigger? I went to my OB who suggested I get an ultrasound. Originally, the results came back that I had multiple lactating adenomas, which would require surgery but the word of the day was benign.  Then after a pre requisite biopsy, I received results that are far too common yet nobody is prepared for. I have infiltrating ductal carcinoma, stage 2b/3a breast cancer.
Some of you already know this and some are just learning this and I want to say thank you to everyone for the love and support I have already received. It is amazing that in such a hard time for our family, we are stronger than ever and that has a lot to do with all of you. I still welcome personal check ins, but feel like this site will really help me facilitate my updates and possible upcoming  needs.  I will try to keep my journal entries current and Frannie will help when I can't. With friends and family like all of you, I am going to get through this and you best believe have a big party when it's all done!
My love to all of you,
       Michelle
