Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Michael had an accident early Thanksgiving morning on a cruise with Hope and her family and was in critical condition in the ICU of a trauma center in Miami for 40 days. He was in a coma with several broken bones with doctors working around the clock to help him recover. After being transported back to Omaha, and receiving great care in the ICU at UNMC, he was transferred to Madonna Hospital where his treatment continued and his rehabilitation began. He is now at a post-hospital medical rehabilitation facility.
