In September, as we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, we learned that Michael was diagnosed with Stage 2 B Testicular Cancer.  After the initial shock and worry, we have decided to take on this challenge as a journey together.  Along with our family and friends, we know that we have had many steps and will have many more.

This type of cancer has a 95% curability rate within 10 years.  We are lucky that we have a great team of doctors who quickly operated on him to remove the cancerous mass.  The cancer did spread to a lymph node and he does have to have chemo.  Michael's chemotherapy treatments begin on Monday, Oct. 23.  He will have three rounds of chemo (for a total of 9 weeks).

We developed this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. The site also contains "Ways to Help" and we will let you know when we need help.  We hope that the caring bridge site will help keep all of you informed about this journey.

CaringBridge is a nonprofit social network dedicated to helping family and friends communicate with and support loved ones during a health journey. Learn more about CaringBridge.
