In 2010, Michael was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Following treatment he has been in remission since. CLL can transform into lymphoma, a more aggressive type of cancer. This month we discovered that Michael's CLL has done that. The chemo he received for the lymphoma needed to be aggressive as well. The prayers that were showered on him carried him through as he hung on. That's how he earned the name Braveheart! The journey ahead will take all Michael has, which we know is plenty. The outpouring of love has sustained both of us, and the prayers of our loved ones have brought him back. His counts are rising, he's able to eat solid food, he's walking, and his plumbing is working -- all criteria for his discharge. He will be discharged this week! Thank you, Lord!
