On March 24, Mike was diagnosed with Stage 3 N1 Colorectal Cancer. From that day forward our lives have been in a spin cycle. We are navigating through this with the help of many who have unfortunately had to go thru and live through receiving the same life changing news. For that Mike and I are so grateful. We are just so moved by the amount of love/prayers/and support from all of you.


We are currently navigating through Kaiser care and will soon be insured by Regence so will open the doors to the possibility of care at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Seattle. Mike has undergone all of the tests needed to validate that the cancer has not spread throughout his body and we are hoping with his treatments to continue in that direction.


Mike has a large mass that will need to be shrunk and surgically removed once he undergoes treatment with chemo/radiation for 6-8 weeks (5 days on & 2 days off )

Last Friday Mike underwent a minor surgery to have a port put in his chest for the Chemo infusions/pump access as well as any further MRI and Scans and Bloodwork can all be done through his new port. He did well with the surgery


Today 4/17 he went to Radiation for a simulation and will start Radiation on Wed morning. He also started Chemotherapy and seems to be weathering it well as the day goes on he is a bit tired. But he is sporting a new man purse with a pump and rocking it! 


4/24- we meet with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for a second opinion.
