Before leaving on our last adventure in January, Mike had a headache which got worse during our trip.  He was diagnosed with pneumonia before leaving the ship and the doctor wanted him seen in ER before we got on our plane to fly home.  Within an hour in an ER in Baltimore we were given the news that he had 7 metastatic brain cancer lesions with the primary site probably being the lung.  He was hospitalized for 9 days in Baltimore for initial testing and attempt to minimize the head pain. 

When we came home at the end of January, we already had an Oncologist and Radiologist set up and began more advanced testing.  He was scheduled to begin radiation on Feb 9 and was at the hospital preparing when he had to undergo emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer which was probably a result of the extremely high steroids he's on for the swelling in his brain.  He's been hospitalized since then.
