Michael hadn't been feeling well for about 3 weeks. He had some infections that doctors thought were unrelated and after a series of 3 clinic visits, 3 antibiotics and just not feeling well, he made an appointment with his primary care doctor. After a few labs and a short time in the doctor's office we were told that Michael's white blood cell count was very high and his platelet count was very low. The doctor told us it was probably leukemia or lymphoma. He said we needed to go straight to the emergency room and he had already called and made arrangements for us with an oncologist. We arrived at the hospital about 10:15 and by noon they had confirmed that it was in fact Leukemia. So, on Thursday November 10th we started our fight.
