Thank you all for your support on my caring bridge page. 
my story began a few weeks ago as we discovered that I  have a tumor in the  rectum.  After diagnostics confirmed the mass to be malignant and of an aggressive type of squamous cell carcinoma , i made the decision to travel to Houston Texas to MdAnderson  Cancer Center. This particular location of tumor is rare as only about 8900 are diagnosed annually.  After some thought made the decision to return to Md anderson  for a work up .  I have travelled with my sister to Houston . On March 6 th  , I had my first appointment which was a Pet scan which will indicate whether the disease has spread to surrounding tissues or organs.   As we begin-this journey  tomorrow , I remain greatful to you for your support , prayerful  to our creator, and hopeful for the future .
