What started as a normal 18 month check up on March 21st, we asked about Mikey's bruising. His pediatrician had drew his blood only to find out his platelets were at a low of 25000. Getting thus phone call not knowing what it was going to be. We got to the hematology at blank for more blood work. He ended up having multiple blood draws, 3 bone marrow tests, platelet transfusion. What we thought was itp. Well after all the bone marrow it can to a diagnoses on May 5th of undifrientiated leukemia. On May 22nd we had a double port placed and first round if chemo started in mat 23rd. We was admitted at blank from may 22nd to June 19th. Went home for a week and got readmitted on June 26th to start round 2 of chemo. We are currently still at blank waiting for his cells to recover so we can go home. Within the next week he will have a bone marrow test, spinal tap and a gtube placement. If his bone marrow test comes back with no cancer cells we will be headed to minnesota for a bone marrow transplant.  We will be up there for 110 days.
