Michael began to show stroke symptoms on Saturday, September 3, 2016. He had an MRI on Saturday afternoon at EJCH which they originally believed was a cystic hemangioma that had bled into his brain. Upon review the doctors became concerned that the mass was a glioblastoma on the brain stem. A surgical biopsy on Friday, October 7 confirmed a high grade glioblastoma. Aggressive radiation and chemotheraphy treatment began October 17, 2016. After a valiant battle against this horrible disease, Michael was welcomed in to heaven in the morning of December 7, 2017.
