On January 3rd, Michael went to the doctor because of a lump he found. They were concerned and sent him to get an ultrasound. Through the ultrasound, a mass was found but it was unclear if the mass was malignant or benign

A few days later, he had a cat scan and blood work. That showed there was a very good chance of it being cancerous.

Michael had surgery to remove the mass on January 12th.  The pathology results came back a few days later and confirmed that it is cancer. In his case, he has four different types of cancer and it grows quickly. While this all seems scary, we are confident, first, in our God and, secondly,  the survival rate of this cancer. We are moving forward to get a plan of attack.

We would love prayers for Michael and our family. Specific prayer would be to ask God to surround us and our home with abounding peace as we take on decisions, chemo, and recuperation. Thank you everyone.

Thank you to those who have already come along side us in this. Thank you for the support, meals, and gifts that have made us feel so incredibly loved.

We love you!

Michael, Natalie, & Josiah
