Michael Carrobis

I just realized that I have not edited Michael's story. I will let you read how it began...Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. I was hesitant to put Mike's story out there but I do think it will be helpful to have one spot I can add the "latest" to keep people updated with the latest news in Mike's journey. Recap: At the end of September Mike was admitted to the ER for emergency oral surgery. The initial surgery went well but then odd/perplexing things were happening (or the expected was not happening). He was in the hospital for nine days underwent a couple of other surgeries/biopsies and in the end we found out that he has been diagnosed with Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. He is being treated at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Center in Manchester, NH.  We feel confident in the doctors and nurses care he is under as he has begun the fight. Thanks for all positive thought and prayers!
Okay, now if you have not read through the early days what we would like people to know is that Mike's diagnosis took a turn and he had some bumps. He was transferred down to Mass General Hospital in Boston mid-January and has been under the care of all of the doctors and nurses there since then. We are grateful we are only an hour away from one of the best hospitals in the nation with the best brains!
