Michael Carlson

Michael was born June 2, 1999 to Shawn and Shelley Carlson. Michael has always been an active/outdoors guy. Loving nature, hunting, cross country skiing just to name a few.  On Sunday August 19th, 2018 he was involved in a freak swimming accident at Theodore Wirth Lake. He struck the bottom of the Lake damaging his C5 vertebrae.


His parents, Shawn and Shelley, and his sister Jane, have faith that Michael will come through this, even though it will be a long journey. Through their faith in God, and the support of family and friends, they will make this journey together. Hopefully this site will bring you along with them, through the triumphs and struggles of the journey that they are all on.


****NOTE**** I have know Michael since a small child, and we have been family friends for many many years. Shawn and Shelley asked me to help them communicate with all of the people who love Michael via this site. The words and information in all the posts come from Shawn and Shelley. They want you to know they read all of  your comments, and are encouraged by the love shown to their whole family. So when you see a post by me (Leanne) it really is from the heart's of the Carlson's. (Side note - At this time there is no fundraising being done for the medical costs. When the time arises, it will be communicated to everyone who wants to help in that area. The donations that are asked for on this page go directly to the site and not to the family.
