Welcome to our CaringBridge website. I created this page to keep family and friends updated in one place about our Mikey. Mikey was diagnosed with Stage II Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, a type of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in October of 2015. He noticed a lump growing under his left armpit. After a series of cat scans, several other swollen lymphnodes were discovered from his neck down to his groin. At first, we knew nothing about CLL and began researching immediately. When you hear the words "Lymphoma" and "Leukemia", the worst things scramble through your mind along with confusion and the urgency to fix it right away. We were referred to Dana Farber in Boston to a Dr. who strictly researches CLL and specializes in this type of cancer. Since August 2016 Mikey became symptomatic and needed to start a chemo trial.
