On Monday, September 5, Michael collapsed at home and suffered from a heart attack due to (2) blockages and a collapsed artery. He was taken to Hillcrest Hospital. Three stints were placed in Michael's heart as well an impella device to help ensure the adequate pumping of blood. Michael was put into a coma in order to help his body heal and relax. On Wednesday, they started bringing his body out of the coma and removed the heart device. Since then, he is breathing on his own and is no longer on sedatives. He has been responding to tickling, pinching, friends/family's voices, and music. As of Friday, the heart has healed, but he is still unconscious. (We are NOT asking for donations to this site because they WILL NOT go to the Wood family, but to the management of this website).
