Our journey Southbound... August 4, 2019 my amazing husband survived nothing short of a miracle. God laid his mighty hands on his heart and he was revived nine times. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t given thanks for this most precious gift, sharing my life with this amazing man. Shortly after his recovery we decided to take hold of our dreams and moved to our forever home, Southbound, a beautiful lake property fixer upper. Almost 8 months later renovations are well underway, and Jason Long is turning our fixer upper into our dream home. Truly a labor of love. On this fateful day one year later we have been presented with a new challenge... we could not have seen this one coming, no one really ever does. We learned the course of treatment for my recently diagnosed breast cancer. I have been diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage II breast cancer. The good news is that it does not appear to be in my lymph nodes. The challenge is that the tumor is large and aggressive. I will start with chemotherapy and then surgery will follow. Not the path we ever expected on our Southbound journey, but we know that God has a plan for us all. ❤️
