Merle Gordon

We will greet one and all for Merle's memorial service at the Presbyterian Church of South Salem, on Saturday, September 9th, at 2:30 in the afternoon (111 Spring Street, South Salem, NY 10590). Parking is easy and on-sight. Dress is casual. "Services" will begin at 3:30 so please arrive by then? 


Afterward (~6?), dinner at our house--37 Twin Lakes Road, South Salem, NY 10590. 


I'm also asking folks who are joining us for dinner to (if you want) find lyrics for one, two or three songs that you believe Merle would have liked to sing (or that you would have liked to sing to her) and print out ten (or a few more) copies and bring them along with you. Post those lyrics on this site, if you can? If you cannot make it but still want to post lyrics we'll see if we can print them out and add them to the songs we sing.

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Merle finally allowed us to create this site! We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Please feel free to share memories with Merle (she's looking forward to having them read to her!). Please also feel free to send any message to her that you'd like to send. We appreciate support, words of hope and encouragement, even words of frustration or humor! Most of all, we appreciate your visiting.
It's a hard time: Merle is taking in immunology treatment that hasn't really had time to take hold, if it will take hold. For it or any other treatment to be efficacious, we need to create a window of perhaps a week of comfort, in which Merle can eat and process the medication and retain liquids. Simply crossing our fingers at this point.
