I have been diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma which is an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. As it was explained to me, they don't really stage Lymphoma the same way as they do other cancers because it is an all over the body cancer. They stage it more on a risk or aggressiveness factor. Mine is the not the most aggressive type, but it is extremely fast growing. Because of this, my doctor has told me it is stage 4. We think we caught it early though, so that is a blessing.
I will have about 8 hours of chemo every 3 weeks for 6 cycles - so 18 weeks. The chemo treatment is called R-CHOP. The goal after 18 weeks is to be 100% cured forever. This is the only statistic I am focused on is 100%! I have two wonderful children and live in an amazing community. I am blessed to have many friends and family that are supporting me in any and every way possible. I appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
