Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On June 8, 2021 Mel was diagnosed with a tear in his Aorta at Sauk Prairie Hospital.  Which meant a helicopter ride to UW Hospital in Madison!  We met with the heart surgeon, who explained our options, and after hearing the options for surgery we decide this type of surgery was to high of risk for Mel.   We have no other medical solutions available to help him.  He will remain at UW on hospice care.

On June 9, we had a good day, with many conversations among our family.  Mel even made a few calls to some friends.  (Forgive us if we didn't reach out to you personally.)  But today, June 10, finds Mel unable to communicate with us due to the many pain medications needed to keep him comfortable.

Please keep Mel in your thoughts and prayers as we travel on this next medical journey.
