Mel Siebert Team Seebs vs. ALS

First post: Feb 19, 2022 Latest post: Oct 28, 2022
Welcome to our CaringBridge site.

Mel was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s Disease) on February 10, 2022 after experiencing some weakness and numbness in her arms and hands. Her prognosis is that she will have 10+ years but she is fighting for many more than that. Veterans are more likely to be diagnosed with ALS than those who did not serve in the military, therefore the VA has determined 100% disability and will cover all Mel’s care and treatment.  Kristin will be caring for Mel as they navigate this illness together. Lili and Emily are still too young to quite understand what’s going on but they know Mel is sick and may soon be needing help.  Time is precious, every day is a gift.

Many of our friends and family have asked how they can help us, and some suggested we start a GoFundMe to raise money for some of our bucket list items. If you wish to contribute, you may do so  at the link below. We truly appreciate any little bit that is donated! Thank you all for your love and support!

Keep an eye out for Team Seebs #teamseebs at ALS Awareness and ALS walk events!

We will use this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We are grateful for your prayers, support and encouraging words of hope. ❤️
