My wife Melissa is a one on one teachers aide for the Spencerport School District. In December of 2018 we found out that she had a brain tumor. She had surgery in January 2019 to remove as much of the tumor as safely possible, but the surgeons were not able to remove all of the tumor. In February Melissa was formally diagnosed with stage IV brain cancer... Glioblastoma Multiforme. As of March 18th, Melissa started radiation and chemo which will last for 30 sessions (M-F for 6 weeks straight). This will be followed by 4 weeks off and then start up with 6 more consecutive cycles of just chemo. This page is designed to inform family and friends of what is going on with Melissa and her treatment. I will encourage you to keep sending texts of encouragement to her, she reads them all but obviously cannot keep up with answering them all.
