Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Below is my story.

In November of 2017, I noticed a swollen lymph node near my left collarbone. It never stopped growing so I went to my doctor to get it checked out in January. Three weeks of ultrasounds, biopsies, CT scans, surgery, consults, and a PET scan have brought me to this point, where I will begin chemo treatments to fight Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. I have the most common form of it; aggressive diffuse large B cell, non-GC. I’m Stage 3, though I’m told that doesn’t really matter, because it is curable at any stage. Yes, curable!

Treatments consist of 5 drugs, nicknamed R CHOP. I’ll have 6 treatments 21 days apart, starting Thursday Feb 22. I’m going to be treated at Dartmouth Hitchcock up in Lebanon, NH. If all goes well, treatments will finish up by the end of June. I’ll know how I’m progressing half way through the treatments when I have another PET scan.

Adam and I will try to keep this site updated as the treatments progress. Thank you everyone for your support and prayers and offers of help. I never knew how much all of those kind words meant until this came along. It means everything to know so many people are pulling for me.
