After 15 months of chronic ear pain, we finally have an answer. Cancer in my tongue base. Adenoid cystic cancer. It is rare and even rarer in women. I am seeing doctors at KU Med in Kansas City. Surgery is November 17th at KU Med in Kansas City. It might be a 12 hour surgery. I will be in the hospital for 7-10 days. I will then go home for 4-6 weeks and come back to KU Med to do 4-6 weeks of radiation. Appreciate all the prayers and well wishes and will try to keep this up to date .
