Melba Murphy

Thursday, February 16th 2017, my mother Melba was diagnosed with breast cancer. The following weeks were a little hectic while meeting her cancer team and figuring out her treatment plan. On Wednesday February 22nd 2017 we met with her team of doctors and found out exactly what type of breast cancer she had and what they would be doing to cure her. Melba has Stage 1A Triple Negative Breast Cancer and will be undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and finally radiation over the next 4-6 months at MD Anderson in the Houston Medical Center. She is such a light in so many people's lives and has so many friends, fans, and supporters that in order to keep everyone in the loop, we thought it would be best to share her updates on here. She has a hard time responding to all of the messages and phone calls so we encourage you to check here for her progress. She is such a kind hearted and faith filled woman and is so touched by the outpouring love and support she has received over the last few weeks.
