Melanie has been experiencing some gastro-intestinal issues in the last couple of months and was referred to a GI specialist by her primary physician. The GI doctor ordered a colonoscopy which was performed on Monday morning, June 5, and it revealed a 5 cm cancerous tumor. She will have a CT scan and an MRI soon and we meet with the oncologist on Tuesday. We are lucky to have a neighbor and family friend, Josh Hill, who will be our surgical oncologist. He specializes in GI cancers and has been great so far to expedite the schedule. Josh's youngest, Chloe, is classmates, Yguide buddies and friends with our youngest, Caroline. We should have further information next week. One of Melanie's best friends and our neighbor, Angela Schellpfeffer has put together a meal schedule. Here is the link
