Melanie was diagnosed with cancer mid-2020, as if 2020 didn't suck enough already.  The tumor began as a small lymph node in her pelvis.  Over the summer she completed 5 weeks of radiation and did really well - actually, she rocked it.
Shortly after Thanksgiving, she started having more pain, and the cancer was found to have spread to nearby lymph nodes in the pelvis.  
Fortunately she has a strong team of providers caring for her and began intensive chemotherapy in December 2020 -- Unfortunately the chemo has already resulted in untoward effects.  
Chemotherapy is planned to continue every other week for 3 months.
