Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
Simply put—to know the Aranda family is to become a part of the Aranda family. Anyone who knows them has likely eaten a meal, played games, and laughed until your stomach hurt with them. Melanie shines a light on all who know her. She always has the best snacks(ask any kid who has stepped within 20 feet of her house), seems to have a 6th sense to know what everyone around her needs, and can “throw together” an impromptu dinner party for 10+ people in 30 minutes or less(it’s truly remarkable).
In the fall of 2021, after visits to all sorts of doctors, Melanie was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Since then she has been in the hospital many times. She’s endured chemo, radiation, bone fractures, surgeries, bone marrow extractions, and more needle sticks than anyone should in a lifetime. She’s done all that, and she’s done it with grace, and a level of positivity that’s contagious. Ed has been nothing short of a patient and excellent caregiver. They are so blessed to have a ton of support from their friends, family, and community—too many people to name.
We appreciate your continued prayers, support, and words of hope and encouragement through this difficult time. Thank you for visiting.
