Megan was diagnosed with stage IV cancer of the gallbladder and liver on September 13, 2019. She underwent chemotherapy treatment from Minnesota Oncology from October through January. She lived at home in St. Peter, with Bruce and daughter Vera, who is in 9th grade. Their oldest, Will, was a senior at Carthage College, Marta a junior at Xavier University, and Nils a freshman at DePaul University. Megan finished her work at Gustavus Adolphus College, as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, in late February. She passed away on March 16, 2020.
