Welcome to Meagan Noelle Fanning’s CaringBridge website.  Most of you know that Meagan has battled addiction for several years now.  She checked herself into detox on Wednesday (yesterday April 11) with plans to go directly into a long-term treatment program afterward.  While in detox, Meagan was given a medication to help curb her withdrawal symptoms from alcoholism and she had an adverse reaction.  EMS was called and took her to the ER. After preliminary blood tests and a CT scan the doctors told us that she is in liver failure, Meagan was admitted to Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena, TX. She is receiving excellent care thus far. Lots of tests. MRI is scheduled for this afternoon. Abdominal ultrasound was done last night.    The ER doctor told us she would be here several days at least. He mentioned doing a liver biopsy but I haven’t seen the doctor today as of this posting. This news is tough to take, although not completely surprising for those of us who love her and know the struggles she has been facing in her addiction. Please pray that the damage to her organs is reversible and that she can be healed. I am forever hopeful that God will give her everything she needs to gather the strength, support and resolve needed to conquer this disease.  Please know, that due to the sensitive and personal details of her condition, we are keeping the circle of people very small for now. We covet your prayers and love each of you. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for staying in touch with us. Much love to all!  Debbie and Avery
