We started our journey on Friday, January 8. We went in for our routine checkup. Our OB was about an hour late for our follow up from the sono but Craig and I made light of it. We were laughing, mostly Craig cracking jokes, just being normal. It all changed in an instant when Dr. Young flew in and said I’m going to cut to the chase. I’m sending you over to Carle as I suspect we are dealing with Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Our tears of laughter immediately changed to tears of fear, streaming down our faces. We were informed about this but never thought it’d happen to us. We were just told 2 weeks prior the boys looked “perfect”. But here we are. After Carle’s assessment, it was determined I needed to be seen by the specialist at Northwestern in Chicago on Monday at 9:30 am.
