Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We've created it to keep friends and family updated about our loved one.  Max was born with a bicuspid aortic valve that we have been monitoring since his birth.  Due to his enlarged heart, Max had his first open heart surgery to replace his aortic valve when he was 8 years old.  His second open heart surgery is scheduled for October 5.  His valve is starting to fail and needs to be replaced again, as well as part of his aorta.  We will know if he needs a pacemaker shortly after his surgery.
