Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
Last year, our sweet boy Max was diagnosed with brain cancer. We ordered an MRI after Max experienced episodes of severe head pain while playing tennis, the sport that he loves so much. Max had two surgeries - one in October and a second in March to remove residual tumor. His particular tumor is classified as diffuse astrocytoma, grade 2 which is considered low grade. He has an IDH1 mutation, more commonly found in adult tumors. Because of this Max's care is shared between CHOP and Penn, two of the greatest cancer centers in the world. Max has bounced back from his surgeries without issue and is living life to the fullest!
We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. We will continue to update you on Max's progress in the journal. For now he has check-in MRI's every 3 months. Thank you for visiting!
