Mavis Frauendienst

Welcome to our CaringBridge Website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Mavis was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in August of 2014 after battling with what she and the doctors thought was an ongoing bladder infection. The back pain was so strong she decided to go to the ER and told them she wouldn't leave until they had an answer for her. From there she was taken to the U of M for further testing. It was decided that Mavis would undergo surgery to remove the tumor and follow up with chemo. Mavis was a trooper through it all! Unfortunately it wasn't but a couple of months after she finished chemo that her cancer was back. She then started her treatments in Glencoe and later transferred to SMC in Arlington.
