On last Monday 8/23/10 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.  I began having chest pain in early May, which led to two subsequent Dr visits, and some routine blood tests.  I also had routine CT heart scan because of family history.  The scan showed that I have a great heart, but the radiologist's review of the same pictures showed lesions in my ribs, sternuum, bilateral ribs and upper spine.  The blood test (taken in the same week, butween trips to San Diego for work), prompted a bone marrow test (spinal tap, ouch).  This confirmed the diagnosis.  I heard the results over the phone, and saw the lab result over the email, and flew home that same night to comfort my family.  And so the journey began.  In all of this my mind flooded with comfort from the Lord mingled with fits of tears and 1000 parallel thoughts. Peg has been such a strength to me in all this. PTL for my wonderful wife.  At the same time I can feel the effectiveness of the prayers of Gods people.  Thank you all for this.  We know that our God is able to change the molecular structure of water so that it can walked on by men.  Likewise he can change the very cells of my bones and make them all new!  Oh Lord, you are the God of the impossible, the one that knows all the secrets of life.  May it be so in my life now, that you give wisdom to my doctors, strength to my friends and family, and health my bones. Amen.
