Sometimes life throws an unexpected  challenge our way as many of you are familiar with.  Maureen is my sister and 5 years ago she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.  Over these years she has gone forward with courage and determination.


Recently she has been faced with a series of issues in addition to her disease.  Three surgeries, and 2  refusals of disability by the Social Security Department.  In addition, she searched for an insurance that she could afford and that would meet her needs and she has learned that insurance will no longer cover the clinic where she has her medical care.  Like so many folks, she needs to sell her house and has been getting ready to do that with the help of some loving people. 


The good news is that Maureen has a strong faith, a belief that God is the great healer and her attitude reflects that  We have been blessed by the opportunity to visit Struthers Clinic which specializes in Parkinson's Disease.  She has had a complete assessment there and will have continued support from that agency.


Many of you know Maureen as someone who has spent most of her adult life caring for others including our parents who passed away in 2015 and 2016.  There is a list of others she has worked for and has done so with a willing heart.  She has helped care for others and now she needs help.   Please pray for her as she continues on this journey.

An update on the site. It has been wonderful to see the support and beautiful words for Maureen. Presently continues to go forward with what tasks need doing. They are many. She joined myself and Bonnie at a conference last week/end and enjoyed seeing lots of friends old and new. Thanks to all of you . Colleen
