On Monday, June 1st, Matt was in a boating accident on the Tar River. He was taken to Nash General, then airlifted to Vidant. He has 7 broken ribs, a broken nose, jaw, shoulder and some bleeding on the brain (that should heal on its own). He is in ICU and cannot have visitors (even Parker). Parker’s mom is here, helping with Sawyer, and the three of them are staying in Greenville for now to be close to the hospital. Matt’s parents, daughters Caroline and Claire will be with Parker and Sawyer during the surgery to lift up Matt and the doctors in prayer and to provide one another with comfort.
