As many of you know, in February Matt had visited the ER with heart palpitations. At our second visit in the ER they discovered that he has a Mitral Valve Prolapse. This means that his mitral valve is “leaking” and not distributing blood properly. After more testing and visits with his Cardiologist and Cardiac Surgeon they have determined that Open Heart surgery to repair the valve is a necessity as his leak is severe.
