Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. (Please know the site asks for donations, but they are not for our family or any organization we support. It’s just part of the site)

Last October of 2016 We returned from the CCV cruise with our church and Matt wasn’t feeling well. We knew he was having issues with his liver, but that’s when we realized just how bad it was getting. He was going in to have his abdomen drained once per week because of fluid build up from the liver not functioning properly. May of 2017 he was put on the liver transplant list. We chose to spend the summer in our 5th wheel in Indiana in hopes of finding a transplant sooner than expected in Arizona. The summer ended so we came back to AZ in August so Zach could go back to school.  We had to re-start the transplant process in AZ and get back on the list here at Mayo Clinic.  At the end of October we received our 1st potential transplant call. It fell through and we had 4 more calls.
That brings us to today..... we finally got the call that would lead to a new liver! See our daily updates below :)
