Matthew was admitted into Regions Hospital on Thursday December 27th 2018. He was diagnosed with Anca Vasculitis, it is a rare Autoimmune disease, which means his antibodies are attacking his small blood vessels in his body. His kidneys have been affected by this and he has been doing treatment for that called Plasmapherisis.

On  January 1st 2019, he will be going through his first treatment for Vasculitis. The doctors have chosen to go with Cytoxan which is a form of Chemo that will focus on helping to decrease his over acting immune system. He will be going through this treatment for 3 to 6 months.

The hope is everything goes well, he will be out of Regions by Thursday January 10th. This is a life changing disease that is treatable but not curable. Please help us in sending him the best of luck though this tough time.
