Welcome to Matthew's CaringBridge website. We've created it to keep you, our family and friends, up to date on what's going on with Matthew's health. Get started by reading the introduction to his website. Check back for updates to Matthew's "My Story", journal entries, or his photo gallery. Please leave a note in his guestbook. Your messages of prayer and encouragement mean more to us than words can say. If you don't have time to write a note, please click the "heart" icon to let us know you stopped by. Thank you for your continued love, support and prayers.

I'm Matthew and things were going pretty well until the spring of 2002. I was cruising around furniture and trying to get up the courage to start trying to run. Then in May I suffered a stroke. It left me paralyzed on the right side. Over the years I've learned to do lots of things over and I'm now left-handed, rather than right. My sister likes this because it's only Katie and me in our family that are lefties! Even though I have this really cool wheel-chair with wheels that light up when I'm movin' and groovin'...I still wish I could walk again. I get around great and I can do the fastest hopping of anyone I know! But, still I'd like to walk again and even one day maybe I'll be able to run around the yard with my brothers and sister. Also, I want to say, "Thanks Mom for helping me tell my story and typing it too!"
