Matt Hestad

As many of you know, the Hestad family received some devastating news this past week when Matt was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. For the last few months Matt had not been feeling well and thought he had a sinus infection.  However, medications were not working, his symptoms were not improving, and other symptoms started appearing. Further testing confirmed this was not in fact a sinus infection, but a brain tumor. It is an understatement to say they are still adjusting to this horrific news. It is a day to day journey at this point as there continue to be tests and appointments for a more definitive diagnosis, but as of now, surgery is set for Monday, February 11, to remove the tumor.

There are many of us, Matt's extended family and friends, who are at a loss for what we can do and how we can be with them.  Our thought is to step in with the daily needs and unexpected expenses, to free up Matt, Katy, Vincent, and Bridget to deal with this news and to be together at this time.  As a result, we have started a Meal Train to meet some of these needs.
