Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

After more than two weeks of nausea and discomfort, Mary's doctor asked her to come in and was concerned that there were complications with her digestive system.  She decided that she wanted Mary admitted to the hospital, and to have a CT scan. Sadly, the CT results revealed that the cancer had spread to her abdomen, to her liver, in her lung, on her heart, and throughout the rest of the body. It also revealed that her stomach was enlarged and filled, causing the nausea. The doctor ordered that an NG tube be put in to empty her stomach and take care of the nausea.

Mary's energy is dwindling, having had no nourishment (except she was able to sip on a latte today!). Visits are being kept brief and contingent to her energy levels. She spent the last few days having very special time with family and very close friends. We appreciate your prayer moving forward as we make decisions and process all that has happened.

For now, Mary is unable to respond to contact through her phone. If you need to be in contact, please use Cathy Kruse's (daughter) cell: 206-498-4790.. Or send us a message through CaringBridge. We apologize if replies are slow, but know that we are reading your messages and receiving your prayers. Thank you.
