Mary was admitted to Fairview Ridges Hospital on 12/22/16. She had been having flu-like symptoms. Tests determined she had an abscess in her liver...actually through tests they found she had more than one pocket of infection..some being quite large. She was given strong doses of antibiotics and has a few drains attached to access all of the pockets of fluid in and around her liver. The 'draining' will continue for a long time. It has been a long haul for Mary. She is on the road to recovery, be it very slow, we will take it. As I write "Mary's Story" she is still in the hospital.
