This all started when Mary went in for a routine mammogram; her second one in her life.  Mary had to have a biopsy on her left breast. We were notified 2 weeks later that Mary's results were
abnormal, but questionable because they did not have a large enough sample of the abnormal to give a definitive diagnosis. So, she had a second biopsy and the results were positive for Focal Ductal Carcinoma in Situ AND Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Two spots found in her left breast. These were found early and small:stage 0 and stage 1. Mary will be having a mastectomy on Tuesday September 26th at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), formerly known as Brook Army Medical Center (BAMC). We don't know what time yet. I will be using this site to keep everyone updated.  Mary has amazing faith in God and says, "God's got this!" Please cover us in your prayers.
