Welcome to our CaringBridge website. My mom, Mary Manthei, fell about a month ago and sustained a very small bleed to her brain. After a couple CT's during her hospital stay the bleed didn't get any bigger so the neurosurgeon said the bleed would re-absorb. But to have a repeat CT in 3-4 weeks. This past Tuesday was that repeat CT, not did the bleed not re-absorb but it tripled in size so the neurosurgeon said a surgery is needed to evacuate or remove the bleed. The surgery is scheduled for this Thursday, December 8th.
We decided that we would do another caring bridges site because it worked very well in keeping family and friends informed when my mom had her first strokes and bleed in March 2016. Feel free to share this with others who know my mom. It was wonderful for my mom to read the messages of prayers and kind thoughts before! --Christy
