My name is Mary Louise Walker, and I'm married to the love of  life, Dar Walker,Sr. We are blessed to have two wonderful sons, Dar Jr. and Nicholas who has chosen as his most precious wife,  our daughter-in-love Nancy, and their sons Nicholas, Gabriel and Jeremiah. ( These thee little boys bring love, laughter and JOY to our lives!)

About 3 weeks ago, I noticed a mass in my right side and saw my doctor immediately.  On August 23, 2016, six days after we celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary, we received a  diagnosis of ovarian cancer. This was "never supposed to happen" since 10 years ago I had my ovaries removed due to a scare then of the possibility of ovarian cancer.  Since that biopsy came back negative for cancer, we never thought again about that being a possibility!!  Apparently this can happen, and  here we are in a fight for life!

I am a woman of faith,  I know that My Father God has seen this all along and He is with us. My prayer is of course for compete and total healing and restoration . I am also praying that Father will use me in this journey to touch other lives and share His love ad hope with them. I'm praying that I hear His voice clearly and obey quickly, would you please pray this with me?

God tells us, if we are sick, to call for the pastors and elders to come and pray for healing, anoint with oil, and confess our sins to one another. We asked our pastors and elders to come and pray and anoint me with oil for the grace and healing of God to come, know and acknowledging  that God has given wisdom to medical personnel to  heal, along with His miraculous touch!

After this prayer time, both Dar and I experienced great peace. As for myself, the fear of chemo was mitigated. I am now accepting this "ovarian cancer killing medicine" into my body to kill the cancer cells.

Father God has also given our bodies amazing power to heal themselves given the right nutrition and environment...we are using ALL of Father's gifts that we are discerning to be useful.

Chemo treatment started on August 31, 2016 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.  At the time of diagnosis, and to  today, I am asymptomatic of any ovarian cancer symptom normally seen in this progression of cancer. This confounded the oncologist. I basically have a very healthy body that is being attacked by cancer. For this I Praise God with humility and great gratitude.

Due to a tumor around the left kidney and ureter,  interference of appropriate urine flow was occurring.  To protect the kidney and to reestablish function, on September 2, 2016, a stent was placed to recover full capacity of the kidney. Much prayer was answered, including the Urologist's prayer, that the stent was easily placed with no complications and full restoration of the kidney function has begun with the first attempt!

Here we are days after first chemotherapy and a stent placement. I am still adjusting to this reality. I am tired and resting to recover strength.  I am grieving the life I thought I had, and asking to receive God's grace to life this life By HIs Grace, For HIs Glory.

So the journey in God's hands continues...Will you join us in prayer and support??
